Q: Do I need to register for the marathon by myself or does the Team Lifeline Israel staff do it for me?
A: The Team Lifeline Israel staff will register you for the marathon. All you have to do is complete the online registration form
Q: When is the marathon?
A: The marathon is on March 1 2013 and the race organizers will announce the starting times for the different races in the next few months.
Q: What project is funded by the money raised by Team Lifeline Israel?
A: The money is used for Chaiyanu to send over 60 Israeli Children with Cancer to Camp Simcha. Camp Simcha provides the opportunity for over 200 kids who have cancer to once again be kids and forget about their illness. Camp Simcha also injects these children with the strength and hope to overcome their illnesses.
Q: What do I get when I register with Team Lifeline Israel?
A: You receive an invite our pre-race Pasta party, access on the day to amazing Team Lifeline Israel tent, a post-race party, a sports bag, a professional running shirt, amazing memories and automatic registration into the race.
Q: What are the different options regarding the distances one can run?
A. There is a choice of three different races, a10km race, a 21km half marathon
race or the full marathon 42km.
Q: This is my first race what advice can you offer me?
A: When you sign up you get access to the MyProfile section of the website which contains tips including how to warm up, how to prepare for the race and a training guide.
Q: Will I be able to finish a 10km or half or full marathon ?
Absolutely! One of Team Lifeline’s training programs is geared towards the novice athlete. The combination of Team Lifeline’s training program, online coaching, support network, and the motivation to raise money for a good cause is the perfect recipe for success. How do we know? Each year, a significant number of Team Lifeline Israel participants complete their first race with the group. Since Team Lifeline Israel began, every one of our participants has crossed the finish line.
Q: Does Team Lifeline Israel help me with fundraising?
A: Yes. Even if you've never raised money before, our materials and strategies will make it easy to solicit and collect pledges from friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and others.
We will provide you with materials and suggestions that simplify the process and enhance your chances of reaching your personal goal for the race. You'll have the benefit of our proven strategies for reaching potential donors as well as access to the Team Lifeline Israel website for online contributions. You’ll have your own web page where your contacts can track your progress and make donations.
Experience has shown that it is not only possible, but easy to reach this goal. Chaiyanu is an amazing organization, and our participants have reported that people were eager to give when they learned about it. You will be surprised how friends, family, and co-workers will respond to your effort to train and go the distance to help this wonderful cause.
