I’m not a professional runner….yet, but next month I’ll be running the Miami Half Marathon as part of Team Lifeline. My dad ran his first half marathon with Team Lifeline 12 years ago, and my mom and Daniel ran together in 2015, but I couldn’t let Daniel have one up on me, so I’m training hard in preparation for my first half marathon. The goal is to run faster than Daniel, and raise more money than Daniel, and I’m determined to make both happen.
Trying to outdo Daniel is definitely part of the fun, but what really motivates me are the children of Chai Lifeline. When I think of sick kids it makes me want to do something to help. I’ve been involved with Chai Lifeline my entire life, and have already donated my hair four times for sick kids. For a child with cancer or other life threatening illness, hospital stays and doctor appointments are a way of life - my goal is to give them laughter and hope and a chance to be kids again. Every summer, Camp Simcha enables more than 450 sick kids to enjoy a real summer camp experience, and I’m training hard to help be a part of this magic.
My goal is to raise $10,000 this season in order to help give sick children the experience of Camp Simcha. This is a major undertaking for me and I hope I can count on your support to help me make this happen!!! Your donation is 100% tax deductible and can easily and securely be made online at www.teamlifeline.org/Miami/Goldie. Thank you for your support, and together we will put smiles on the faces of sick children. Let's do this together! Let's make dreams come true.
