As many of you already know, my dad has run the Miami Half Marathon with Team Lifeline for the last ten years. This year, as I become a Bar Mitzvah and turn thirteen, I plan to run those 13.1 miles with him (much slower than he does). I am running to raise money for Chai Lifeline, a wonderful organization dedicated to helping very sick children and their families.
Chai Lifeline helps more than 4,500 kids and their families every year. Its most famous programs are Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special. Every year these camps give hundreds of kids a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. To get a better idea of what Chai Lifeline does for families, please watch the videos below.
