Amanda Dawn Spiro (Sculnick)
My name is Amanda Dawn Spiro (Sculnick) and on February 28th 2008 I went into remission from Hodgkins Lymphoma.
When my miracle son was born in 2013 I became cancer free. I was privaledged to have so much support during my fight but I was 21 years old (felt like a child) and Chai Lifeline was not around at the time. When I learnt about this organization years later I truly connected to the cause knowing how much these services are needed for the families. I knew it was an organization that I wanted to support and get involved with. Last year I shared my story with the mothers and tried to instill positivity within them encouraging to keep fighting. I was than invited to the banquet last year with my husband when we were vacationing with the family in Florida. I was so moved by it all and declared that evening that I will be participating next year. Here I am reaching out to all of you to help me continue this fight and help make a difference in other people’s lives who I know unfortunately from experience need this support. I will be doing this in honor of Ellie White as well as in the memory of my close friend Jacqui Gold who was my strength during my fight and who lost her battle.
Thank you, Amanda
