Emma Zwick

You might be wondering how a 12 year old girl was able to do her first half marathon at age 11, and how she is doing her second one at age 12.

My name is Emma. I am 12 years old and I am running for my second time with Team Lifeline. I run for Team Lifeline because I know how the kids feel. When I was 2 years old, I was diagnosed with polycythemia vera, a very rare blood disorder (1 in 10 million in pediatrics) and I had blood clots in my liver. I want to help children with illnesses and disabilities.

This is why I run with Team Lifeline.

For my Bat Mitzvah, in lieu of gifts, I am asking that our friends, family and loved ones donate to our Team Lifeline fundraiser.

Thank you for helping me make a difference in the lives of all the children.
Love,
Emma
