For the past 2 years I have participated in the Miami Marathon raising funds for the children and families of Chai Lifeline Canada. It was a grueling training process and a challenge, but one that I was dedicated to accomplish. Due to recent mobility issues however, I cannot participate in the marathon this year BUT that doesn’t mean that the kids of Chai Lifeline should lose out on our support.
That said, THIS new year I am asking you to support me in raising money for Chai Lifeline, by making a 100% tax-deductible donation. Your support is a critical part of this effort and I know that together we can make a difference to these children. One of the reasons I’m doing this is because I realize the need is greater than ever. As Chai Lifeline becomes more known throughout the nation, families from across the country are calling Chai’s offices on a regular basis asking for support. The case loads are overwhelming and simply put, there are not enough funds to help all of these families.
Chai Lifeline is an international organization that provides year-round emotional, social, and financial support to more than 5,800 children and their families every year. Chai Lifeline’s goal is to bring joy to children and hope to their families, enabling them to live full and happy lives despite the presence of illness. Their most famous program is Camp Simcha (and its sister camp, Camp Simcha Special); every year these two camps offer nearly 500 kids a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. Thank you for supporting me, and in doing so, helping children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment, and aftermath of serious pediatric illness.
P.S. I hope you will also forward this to anyone you feel might be interested in supporting Chai Lifeline. Together we will make a difference.
