Hey Suri here!
So as you know I’m training to run in the Miami Marathon as a member of Team Lifeline. I’ve been attending Camp Simcha for 3years now and wanted participate in raising money for the place I feel so connected to. Camp Simcha is a camp for kids who are currently battling or have bravely won the fight against cancer. It is a safe haven where all their insecurities are cut loose. Where they walk around unashamed of their bald heads and wheelchairs. Where they aren’t afraid to share their feelings and pain because they know that everyone else understands them since they’ve gone through the same thing. Where they proudly stand up in front of the entire dining room and share their stories, their journey with the terrorizing disease that has changed their lives. For two weeks every summer these kids have an opportunity to laugh, connect with kids just like them and have a break from hospital rooms and pitying glances. Being a staff member in camp has taught me that you never know what the person standing near you has gone through and to appreciate every single thing God has blessed me with as I lead a healthy and fulfilling life. There is no way for me to describe the love and awe I have for camp and how much helping these kids and forming bonds with them has made an impact on my life. Help me help them by donating to this incredible cause and making a world of a difference in their lives. May every dollar be a merit for the full recovery of these warriors who have a special place in my heart.
Thank you all so much!
