You may already know I am named after my late grandmother Penina Rubinoff. Even though I never met her I know that she was a very generous and kind person. All my life I have heard amazing stories from many people about how my grandmother impacted their lives. This year I have the opportunity to run in the Miami Half Marathon because it lands on my 14th birthday. This means a lot to me because I have been on every Penina's Helping Hand Disney Trip and I got to see what a positive impact this has had on kids who are dealing with a sick parent or the recent loss of a parent.
PENINA’S HELPING HAND is a fitting tribute to my late Grandmother Penina Rubinoff, an extraordinary woman who will always be remembered for her love, compassion, and charity. Penina’s Helping Hand offers year-round programs, services, and social support to over 250 children dealing with the loss of a parent or a severely ill parent. The Annual Disney Trip, case management, counseling, holiday gifts, tutoring, gala holiday parties, family retreats, and crisis intervention services bring help and hope to these children, and their families.
Training is not easy, but neither is dealing with illness. If the children of Penina's Helping Hand can fight each day, I can do this for them. But I can't do this without your support. I need your help to raise as much money as possible for these kids. So please, push the donate button and help me put smiles on the faces of these children. Let's do this together! Let's make dreams come true.
