This February, I will be running in the Miami Marathon/Half-Marathon as part of Team Lifeline to benefit children with cancer, disabilities, and other serious medical conditions.
One year ago our lives turned upside down when our baby boy landed in the icu. He was diagnosed with multiple airway abnormalities that were affecting his ability to breath, eat, sleep and had taken a toll on his lungs.
Gabi has spent many weeks of his life in ICUs, he’s had 7 surgeries, more imaging and studies than we’d like to remember. He’s been non stop poked and prodded for more than half of his life. Gabi lives with a feeding tube as well as oxygen daily yet he is the happiest sweetest little boy you’ll ever meet!
He is the true essence of a warrior!
During this time chai lifeline has been by our side in many ways and we are eternally grateful and feel so much comfort knowing they are on our team.
As a token of our appreciation I will be (attempting) to run along side so many incredible people who support such an amazing organization. While you never want to be in this situation… chai lifeline makes each hospitalization and surgery and even daily life just a little easier.
