After my second race with Team Lifeline back in 2019, I probably should have been done racing. (My knees certainly seemed to think so.) That was followed up by 18 months where keeping a daily routine was challenging enough, let alone running. That should have been reason enough for me to hang up my running shoes. But I couldn't, not just yet. Because however hard this year has been for many of us, it has been so much harder for the kids and families of Chai Lifeline. Hospital staff are even more strung out than usual. No one is visiting. Even more seclusion than normal. Families getting extra financial hits. Increased risk of getting sick. All this and more, with no reprieve in sight.

Throughout all of this, Chai Lifeline stepped up in ways that we can only imagine, to continue supporting the families and kids who needed them. So no matter how hard it is to support an organization during this crazy year, this is certainly one that more than ever has been carrying people and keeping them from the brink. They need our help.

So I ask you, please extend yourself generously. I'm gearing up for my third run with Team Lifeline. Help me raise $18,000 by race day.
