Just a few short weeks ago, my cousin Liel Namdar, Liel Dina bat Efraim z”l, was tragically taken from us. This February, I will be running for Team Liel in the Miami Marathon as part of Team Lifeline L’iluy Nishmat our dear Liel.
These last few weeks have been the hardest and most painful weeks of me and my family’s lives. Liel was truly a beautiful, shining light in this world and it is so hard to imagine life without her in it. We figured a great way to channel all this energy and honor Liel’s memory would be to participate in the Miami Marathon to raise money for the wonderful organization Chai Lifeline.
My family has seen firsthand the unbelievable work Chai Lifeline does day in and day out. They bring simcha to children and families going through tough medical challenges, and simcha was what Liel was all about. By donating to this amazing cause, we can continue to spread Liel’s light.
While I have never participated in a marathon before and running all those miles will be challenging, I am excited to help raise awareness and funds for such an important and worthy cause while honoring Liel’s memory.
My goal is to raise $5,000, but I need your help. Every donation is 100% tax deductible. Please join me in supporting this important organization by contributing to my personal runner page.
