#itsallforthekids

Tammy Israel

Two years ago I ended up in the right place at the right time and somehow ended up signing up for a half marathon with team lifeline. For months, my teammates and I trained. In the scorching heat, the rain, the snow.
The thought of all the kids we were helping literally fuelled our runs.
And I have to say, it was really amazing to be part of something so big and so special.
Chai lifeline is an incredible organization that leaves no stone unturned when it comes to helping sick kids and their families. They literally do everything in their power to bring a smile to these kids faces. And that's why I'm back this year. Even though last time I headed to Miami thinking that it was a nice experience but I would not be doing it again. Seriously! It's hard to run 13 miles!!!
But after spending a beautiful Shabbat, and taking part in the crazyyyyy pasta party, I knew that even if I had to walk it I would be back! If the children of Chai Lifeline can fight each day, if they can push themselves to go through hospital stays and treatments, I can do this for them.
Because as busy as life gets, it's really a beautiful thing to be part of something so special.
So here I go.
Again.
More excited.
More determined.
More invested.
After all, it's all for the kids.

Xoxo
Tammy
