David Spangenthal

As you may already know, Sophie was diagnosed with cancer in November 2016. At first, we had a hard time getting an appointment with the team at Memorial Sloan on extremely short notice, but someone called Chai Lifeline, and within hours we were in front of the team.

This was the first of many interactions with Chai Lifeline. Dinners, transportation, snacks, volunteer play-dates, private fun events, Shabbat food in the hospital, chanukah and other gifts... you name it they have done it for us.

Now its our turn to give back. I'm training to run in the Lifetime Miami Half-Marathon this January. Running a is a personal challenge, but I’m not in this just for the glory. I’m running for something important. I am running to raise money for Chai Lifeline.

Please help out what you can in Sophie's honor and for the countless number of families Chai Lifeline helps every day.
