Being apart of the chai lifeline camp Simcha family is so meaningful and important to me. I have been working at Camp Simcha for the past 4 years giving my upmost to make a difference in the campers lives. While trying to give over to them, the campers automatically gave so much back to me. The campers at Camp Simcha are my inspiration that keep me going throughout the year. Seeing there strength while going through there so many difficulties, and staying happy and upbeat through it all was a huge life lesson for me. These campers taught me to appreciate even what seems to be small and mundane as a huge blessing. Specifically this summer, I was given the privilege to get to know Peri Finkelstein on a personal level. Peri is a girl that has a heart of gold, always looking to make sure that everyone around her is happy. She is a girl that will push herself to do what she set her mind on and won’t let her limitations stop her, and from that I have learn’t that if Peri can push herself, so can I. I love spending my free time with Peri and look forward to joining her in this marathon.

In addition to camp, I volunteer in Chicago for Chai Lifeline. Whether it was doing Ishine, going to shabbatonim, or other events, being able to give is a privilege that I am grateful for.

With your help, I hope to reach my goal and run this marathon in honor of Peri Finkelstein and all the other warriors apart of the chai lifeline family!!

Thank you !!!
