Dear friend,

You may already know that I’m training to run in the Lifetime Miami Marathon this January. Running is a personal challenge, but I’m not in this just for the glory. I’m running for something important. I am running to raise money for Chai Lifeline, a wonderful organization dedicated to helping very sick children and their families. I heard about this and I had to do something. However, I know I can’t do it alone. I need your help.

This year will be the fourth year I am running the Chai Lifeline Marathon and the third time running in honor of my father’s memory Menachem Aba Ben Chaim Gedalya. I am also, running in memory of my dear friend Malka bas Avraham Shalom who was taken from us much too soon. This year I had the honor of doing rotations at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, as a nursing student. Unfortunately, I met too many young Jewish children receiving cancer treatment. I am thereby adding a very special young boy to my list of prayers. I am running in zechus for a complete refuah shelamah for Menachem Yehoshua Ben Rochel Brucha. Every shift I witnessed firsthand chai lifeline volunteers bringing simcha, food, and entertainment. I saw them lending a listening ear, saw parents who had so much going on truly form friendships with chai lifeline volunteers and I watched kids eyes light up when they walked in. If that wasn’t enough, chai lifeline volunteers happily offered to spend time with the kids so that the parents can get some time for themselves. I knew then that I had to continue doing this marathon, so that I can partake in someone else’s happiness. To be able to give and to take part in enabling Chai Lifeline to open Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special summer after summer.

Training is not easy, but neither is dealing with illness. If the children of Chai Lifeline can fight each day, if they can push themselves to go through hospital stays and treatments, I can do this for them. But I can't do this without your support. I need your help to raise
as much money as possible for these kids. So please, push the donate button and help me put smiles on the faces of sick children. Let's do this together! Let's make dreams come true.

No amount is too small and every donation makes a big difference!
