Hi Everyone...
I am starting a journey.....I'm starting a journey that will last for the next 7 months....It will take time and dedication, and it will be very tough at times....But it is nothing in comparison to the tough times my little cousin Shani Duskes is going through. She has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma ( Bone cancer). She is just 15 years old and has handled this diagnosis and fight with the grace and dignity that most adults couldn't. To say the effect of her diagnosis on our family has been devastating would be an incredible understatement. However, we have all risen to this challenge and are doing our very best to be there for her through it all.

This brings me to my journey...I want to do as much as I can to help....Which is why I have decided to train and run in the Lifetime Miami Marathon this January. Running a is a personal challenge, one that I don't take lightly. I am running for something really important to me. I am running to raise money for Chai Lifeline, a wonderful organization dedicated to helping very sick children and their families. I am running in the name of Shani Duskes. She has already had multiple surgeries and is in the middle of a 6 month long chemo session. Chai Lifeline has been there for her at every pass. Family resources, devoted volunteers who have been incredible emotional support, gifts and amazing activities have literally been a "lifeline" during this difficult time.

Chai Lifeline is a wonderful organization that provides year–round emotional, social, and financial support to more than 4,500 children and their families every year. Chai Lifeline´s programs and activities change their lives forever, returning joy and hope and enabling them to live full and happy lives despite the presence of illness. Its most famous program is Camp Simcha and its sister camp, Camp Simcha Special. Every year these two camps offer 450 kids a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. To get a better idea of what Chai Lifeline does for families, please watch the videos below. I know they will touch your heart the way they touched mine.

Training is not easy, but neither is dealing with illness. If the children of Chai Lifeline can fight each day, if they can push themselves to go through hospital stays and treatments, I can do this for them. But I can't do this without your support. I need your help to raise as much money as possible for these kids. So please, push the donate button and help me put smiles on the faces of sick children. Let's do this together! Let's make dreams come true.

Please donate! Donate any amount, it all goes to the same wonderful cause. GO TEAM SHANI!

Best - Stuart
