Hi Guys! I am training to run the Rock 'n' Roll half marathon in Las Vegas this November. I have decided to take on the challenge of running my first half marathon to raise money for Chai Lifeline. Chai Lifeline, is a wonderful organization dedicated to helping very sick children and their families.

Chai Lifeline provides year–round emotional, social, and financial support to more than 4,500 children and their families. Their programs and activities change the lives of these families forever, returning joy and hope and enabling them to live full and happy lives despite the presence of illness.

This past year my best friend had a beautiful baby girl. Her name was Liba. She was the most precious little warrior I have ever had the honour to cuddle. She along with her parents spent 7 months in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, fighting valiantly to save her life. Chai Lifeline stood along side Liba, her mum and dad every step of the way. Their help was given with sensitivity, practicality, with love and in abundance. The work of the Chai Lifeline volunteers was the ultimate demonstration of how every man should love his fellow.

This November I will be running in memory of Liba. I will be running with her parents, her aunts and uncles, and all those who loved her most. We will be running for Team Liba, for her unwavering fight to keep on going when all the odds were stacked against her.

I have never run a marathon before, always nervous if I had the lung capacity to just do it. When my friend asked me to be part of Team Liba all I could think of was Shua. Shua had committed to running his first marathon this year. He was just about to begin his training when he became sick. Shua lived to do more, to adventure, to challenge himself, to dream big! So on November 11, putting my fears aside I will be running for Shua. I will push myself, train and do something I never thought that I could do. I know for sure that Shua will be right there with me, cheering me on, pushing me to keep on going, to take deep slow breaths, like only he knew how to take.

Please help me raise money in memory of Shua and Liba, for Chai Lifeline to be able to continue their amazing work.

Thank you so much for your help. It truly means the world.
