COVID-19 may be here, but pediatric illness has not gone away. That’s why I’ve decided to join Team Lifeline and run in support of Chai Lifeline, the Jewish community’s largest children’s health support network. Every dollar I raise and every mile I run will help Chai Lifeline continue to be there for families confronting illness and loss during these difficult times.
We know first hand how much Chai LIfeline has given to Anny - an amount that can never be repaid when we saw Anny's face light up each time she talked about Camp Simcha. In fact, every time we want Anny to smile - all we have to say is "Camp Simcha." She spent many happy summers in camp and after "graduating" was privileged to join other survivors in a trip to Israel - Wish at the Wall - 2 weeks of heaven on earth in the holiest place on earth - Israel.
Aside from dedicating this race in honor of Anny, we are also running in honor of Chai Lifeline Warrior Rivka - Anny's friend - who was literally her lifeline when she spent a year in Minneapolis. Rivka is inspiring, funny, and really down to earth - a true warrior who hasn't let her illness get in the way of living life to the fullest. We are so proud to count Rivka - and her amazingly supportive family - as our friends.
We cannot allow this pandemic to stop us from helping children with life-threatening and lifelong illnesses. These children are counting on us, and I hope I can count on you too. Please help me reach my goal and raise as much money as possible for these incredible kids. Your tax-deductible contribution will have a direct impact on lives dimmed by pediatric illness when they need it most. Together, we can make a difference to Chai Lifeline’s more than 5,900 children and families around the globe.
Thank you for your support!
Best - Robyn
