Hi, welcome to my page! I'm Jess Rosenbloom and I'm 16 years old. I am currently training to run the Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas this November. Not only am I running as a fun and empowering challenge, but I am running to raise money for a wonderful organization called Chai Lifeline.
Chai Lifeline is a wonderful organization that provides year–round emotional, social, and financial support to more than 5,800 children and their families every year. Chai Lifeline´s programs and activities change their lives forever, returning joy and hope and enabling them to live full and happy lives despite the presence of illness. Its most famous program is Camp Simcha and its sister camp, Camp Simcha Special. Every year these two camps offer nearly 500 kids a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again.
As you may know, me and my family have greatly benefited from Chai Lifeline after I was diagnosed with brain cancer 5 years ago, at the age of 10. The staff and volunteers at Chai Lifeline always knew how to put a smile on my face, even when getting chemo or recovering from surgeries.
I am now lucky enough to be a camper at Camp Simcha, where I have made some of my closest friends. Camp is an escape for me, where I'm able to swim, explore, rock climb, zipline and be free from my illness. Everyone at camp understands me and motivate me to be the best I can be.
Please give generously to help kids like me, and allow them to just be kids.
