This year has been a huge challenge for all of us due to this Pandemic. With the lockdown, shelter in place, and minimal social interaction, it has been a challenging year in one way or another for our helath, safety, and mental mindset.
Throughout the year, Chai Lifeline provides emotional, social, and financial assistance to more than 5,900 children and their families. Whether it’s counseling, case management, meals delivered to hospitals and homes, transportation to medical appointments, insurance advocacy, volunteering or Big Brother and Big Sister programming, or Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special medically-supervised summer camps inorder to give childhood back to those that had it stolen by pediatric illness.
Over the last several months, Chai Lifeline has arranged hundreds of virtual counselor visits, meal deliveries and socially-distant birthday surprises. With every new challenge, they have adapted and found new ways to help families not only survive, but thrive. Nothing shows that more than their new Camp Simcha Without Borders program. Chai Lifeline has committed to bringing the Simcha experience to communities across the country so that no camper, regardless of their medical condition, travel limitation, or local government restriction will be left behind.
I am very excited to be running for my 5th year in the Las Vegas Marathon, Half-Marathon and 10k this November to raise money for Chai Lifeline. The event has been indefinitely postponed. I don’t know if it will actually happen this year, however that doesn’t impact the worthiness of this cause. Chai Lifeline needs your support now more than ever, and I’d be extremely grateful for anything you can give.
Thank you for supporting the children of Chai Lifeline! Let's go Team Lifeline!!
All The Best,
