Friends and Family,
This has been a tough year and half for all of us. Lockdown. Safer-at-home. Shelter-in-place. Whatever the local lingo, it’s been a challenge to balance our health and safety with our need for basic social interaction. That’s a challenge that our Chai Lifeline families know all too well.
For years, Chai Lifeline has been there to help see sick children and their families through their darkest times. Throughout this pandemic, at a time when the organization was most strapped for funds and resources, I have seen the staff and volunteers double down on their commitment to Chai Lifeline’s mission: to give childhood back to those that had it stolen by pediatric illness.
It's been my greatest honor to volunteer with the West Coast team of Chai Lifeline over the last 12 years, but it has been particularly inspiring this last year. Chai Lifeline has arranged hundreds of virtual counselor visits, meal deliveries, after-school Zoom sessions, socially-distant birthday surprises, and even launched Camp Simcha Without Borders, an opportunity to bring the magic of camp to children across the country -- regardless of their medical condition, travel limitation, or local government restriction, no child is left behind.
I’m excited to be traveling to Miami this February for my 8th season with Team Lifeline! But as world begins to reopen, the reality of a health crisis lingers for families battling pediatric illness. Please contribute generously so that we can continue to bring the light of Camp Simcha to those in need!
Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your support!
