Hodaya Lightstone
Hi,
I’m training to run in the Chai Lifeline NYC Half Marathon in March. Completing this run is a personal goal for me. I’m running to raise awareness and critical funds for Chai Lifeline, a wonderful organization dedicated to helping very sick children and their families.
When I was in high school and undergrad, I volunteered 2-6 hours a week for this organization. I did weekly babysitting, meal deliveries, overnight respite shifts, helped out at events, helped organize the toy drive, and much more. I've also donated 12" of my hair to Chai Lifeline, for wigs for children with cancer, on two different occasions (in 2016 and 2020). This organization is very special to me, and through volunteering for the organization I have seen the difference that chai lifeline makes to each child and family, and I am very passionate about doing what I can to help support this organization in many different ways, including volunteering my time or with help fundraising.
Throughout the year, Chai Lifeline organization provides emotional, social, and financial assistance to more than 5,900 children and their families. Whether it’s counseling, case management, meals delivered to hospitals and homes, transportation to medical appointments, insurance advocacy, volunteering or Big Brother and Big Sister programming, or Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special medically-supervised summer camps, Chai Lifeline’s innovative programs and services help families navigate the complexities of childhood illness and restore joy and happiness. To get a better sense of what Chai Lifeline does for families, please watch the videos below. I know they will touch your heart the way they touched mine ❤️
Training is not easy, but neither is dealing with illness. If the children of Chai Lifeline can fight each day, if they can push themselves through hospital stays and treatments, I can do this for them. But I can't do this without your support. I need your help to raise as much money as possible for these kids. So please, push the donate button and help me put smiles on the faces of sick children.
Let's do this together!! 💪
Please feel free to make your donation in the zchus of anything you need for yourself -- Shidduchim, Fertility, Health, etc.
Iy"H you should see a Yeshuah from helping!
*Maaser can be used*!
Donations will receive a Tax-Deductible Receipt via email
Thank you very much for your generous donation!
I appreciate any amount that you can give!
Sincerely,
Hodaya
