Dear Friends and Family,

Completing a marathon has been my goal throughout this past year. From no prior experience running, I recently completed my first 5K in the fall, and I am now building up to run an entire marathon. More importantly, I am passionate about helping those in need. In the past, I successfully raised money for various different causes. Whether it was money for the homeless man living on my corner, donations for St. Judes Childrens’ Hospital, or funds for an Israeli medical service, helping those less fortunate is essential to my identity. This is why I’m honored to be running the NYC marathon with Chai Lifeline, an incredible organization dedicated to helping sick children and their families.

On an annual basis, Chai Lifeline provides emotional, social, and financial assistance to more than 6,000 children and their families. Whether it’s counseling, case management, crisis and trauma intervention, meals delivered to hospitals and homes, transportation to medical appointments, insurance advocacy, i-Shine after school programming, Big Brothers and Sisters, or its medically-supervised Simcha summer camps, Chai Lifeline’s innovative services help families navigate the complexities of childhood illness and restore joy and happiness. I have personally observed how Chai Lifeline makes a difference for sick children and their families, and I know that the work they do is extremely meaningful to the recipients.

It would be great if every child had a healthy life, free from illness. Unfortunately, we all know this doesn't happen. I hope to strive toward a future where every sick child can expect to receive the help they need.

I have pledged to raise $6,000 in support of Chai Lifeline by running my first marathon. Your entire contribution goes directly to Chai Lifeline. Please, help me move closer towards my goal and make a difference in the lives of so many sick children.
