Running the New York City Marathon has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. This year, I finally received the chance to turn this dream into a reality as a proud member of Team Lifeline!
This race represents something much bigger to me than just an individual challenge – it's an opportunity to give back to the Jewish community and change people's lives in a profound, meaningful way.
As I train for the marathon, I strive to raise awareness and critical funds for Chai Lifeline, a wonderful organization dedicated to providing emotional, social, and financial assistance to more than 6,000 children and their families. Whether it’s counseling, case management, crisis and trauma intervention, meals delivered to hospitals and homes, transportation to medical appointments, insurance advocacy, afterschool programming, Big Brothers and Sisters, or medically supervised Simcha summer camps, Chai Lifeline’s innovative services help families navigate the complexities of childhood illness and restore joy and happiness to thousands of homes.
I have set a goal for myself to raise $10,000 in support of this pivotal organization. Yes, it sounds challenging, but I know we can crush this goal... every donation counts! So in the true spirit of my last name, Ahdoot, which means "unity" in Hebrew, let's come together and make an impact!!!
