On November 1st, I'll be running the NYC Marathon for Chai Lifeline, an organization that has had a special place in my heart for a long time.

I've been volunteering with Chai Lifeline for over 10 years and have seen the incredible difference they make for families dealing with illness. They support more than 10,000 children and families each year, providing emotional, social, and financial assistance including counseling, meals delivered to hospitals, rides to medical appointments, after school programs, summer camps, and so much more.

As for me — this is my first marathon! I love to run, but 26.2 miles is definitely a new challenge. As I train, I think about the wonderful children and families Chai Lifeline serves, who face challenges every day, yet continue to push themselves.
