Ilan Lowell

Hi, I'm Ilan Lowell. I'm 15 years old, and a sophomore in Memphis, TN. I live here with my family- my parents, twin brother, older brother, and Lily, our awesome dog.

About 18 months ago, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Chai Lifeline stepped in right away, and has supported my family in many ways. I remember collecting toys for Chai Lifeline when I was younger, but never thought I would be the one gifted with a Chanuka Angel. It was an amazing experience that came in between medical procedures and injections, and did a lot to help my mood. It's been a rough year and a half, and we are so grateful to be a Lifeline family.

This summer, I was able to attend Camp Simcha Special. I wasn't well enough to go to my old sleepaway camp, and I'm grateful that I was able to go away to camp and just be a kid for a while. It was an incredible experience that changed me in many ways.

My family has gotten so much from Chai Lifeline, we decided we want to give back. This January, I will be participating in the Miami Half-Marathon as part of Team Lifeline to benefit children with cancer, disabilities, and other serious medical conditions.

Every dollar I raise and every mile I run will benefit Chai Lifeline, an international children’s health support network that provides critical year-round programs and services to nearly 6,000 families confronting pediatric illness, including mine.

While walking all those miles will be challenging, I am excited to help raise awareness and funds for such an important and worthy cause.

With the help of our friends and family, I have hit my personal goal of $5000, and am now focused on a total of $10,000 so that both my mom and I can participate.

Every donation is 100% tax deductible. Please join me in supporting this important organization by contributing to my personal runner page.

Can I count on you for $100 to help Chai Lifeline continue its critical work?

GO TEAM LOWELL!!!
