Ilan Lowell

Hi, I'm Ilan Lowell. I'm 15 years old, and a sophomore in Memphis, TN. I live here with my family- my parents, twin brother, older brother, and Lily, our awesome dog.

About 18 months ago, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Chai Lifeline stepped in right away, and has supported my family in many ways. I remember collecting toys for Chai Lifeline when I was younger, but never thought I would be the one gifted with a Chanuka Angel. It was an amazing experience that came in between medical procedures and injections, and did a lot to help my mood. It's been a rough year and a half, and we are so grateful to be a Lifeline family.

Next week, I'm headed to Camp Simcha Special, and so excited. I haven't been well enough to go to my old sleepaway camp, and I'm grateful that I can go away to camp and just be a kid for a while.

My family has gotten so much from Chai Lifeline, we decided we want to give back. This January, I will be running (or more likely walking) in the Miami Half-Marathon as part of Team Lifeline to benefit children with cancer, disabilities, and other serious medical conditions.

Every dollar I raise and every mile I run will benefit Chai Lifeline, an international children’s health support network that provides critical year-round programs and services to nearly 6,000 families confronting pediatric illness, including mine.

While running all those miles will be challenging, I am excited to help raise awareness and funds for such an important and worthy cause.

My personal goal is to raise $5,000, and our family is aiming for 20,000 so that we can all travel down to Miami and run. Every donation is 100% tax deductible. Please join me in supporting this important organization by contributing to my personal runner page.

Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you for your support! GO TEAM LOWELL!!!
