There may not be many things that would motivate me to get off the couch, lace up my sneakers, and train to run a half-marathon. However, there is one that gets me going: Helping sick kids ( mine are thank G-d well and healthy) but as you may know I lost my sister at a young age after being sick her whole life.

My parents unfortunately did not have the opportunity to benefit from an organization like Chai Lifeline as it did not exist at the time.

The past 2 years my son Jesse has volunteered at Chai Lifeline overnight camp and has chaperoned kids on a trip to Edmonton. He came back from both inspired by the work chai lifeline do. This in turn has inspired me to raise money for this amazing organization.

This January, I will be running in the Miami Marathon/Half-Marathon as part of Team Lifeline to benefit children with cancer, disabilities, and other serious medical conditions. Every dollar I raise and every km I run will benefit Chai Lifeline, an international children’s health support network that provides critical year-round programs and services to nearly 6,000 families confronting pediatric illness.

While running all those km's will be challenging, I am excited to help raise awareness and funds for such an important and worthy cause.

My goal is to raise $7500, but I need your help. Every donation is 100% tax deductible. Please join me in supporting this important organization by contributing to my personal runner page.

If I hit my goal I will get Taryn to run it with me!!!
