Skylar has a strong passion for life, singing, dancing, and the arts, but there is nothing more important to this warrior than precious family and friends. Skylar shares a special bond with her two older brothers, David, and Jesse; they are her pillars of strength and motivation. Skylar is also especially close with her grandmas and aunties who have been by her side. Skylar even shares her middle name, Yasmin, with her grandma, who spends many long days and nights by her bedside, both in the hospital and home, and for all her procedures. Skylar's most cherished gift is her entire family, including grandmas, aunties, uncles, and beloved cousins, who she spends hours playing with, singing together, and just loves being with.

Skylar’s zesty, spicy, and fun personality is adored by her friends and the community at large. The community gives Skylar and her family tremendous strength and love, and has been a giant hug through Skylar’s journey. From strangers across the globe to close friends in the community, people have taken on additional mitzvot, Tehillim gatherings, Challah bakes, and meal trains to rally in support of a complete Refuah for Skylar. Skylar’s dream school is Hillel, and after getting accepted last year during a five week hospitalization, she is proudly a Hillel student as of this September.

As a fast runner and a star on her basketball team the Raptors, Skylar’s love for sports and summer athletics at Camp Ariel is unmatched. Even while undergoing treatment, her passion for travel, sushi, makeup, shopping, swimming, fashion, jewelry, music, new trends and adventure keeps her excited about life. Her favorite destinations are Miami, the Bahamas, Puerto Vallarta, and of course, Israel. When she’s not staying on top of trends, she’s spending time with her beloved dogs, Charlie and Ricky.
