It’s crazy to think that this will be her eighth yartzheit, and our ninth season with Team Lifeline. What started as a way for us to process grief and loss in a healthy way, while at the same time supporting an amazing cause in her memory, has turned into a lifestyle that brought with it a whole community of friends. I think mom is proud to see how far I’ve (Srivki) come, from huffing and puffing on her basement treadmill. Between both Josh and I, we’ve run 3 full marathons, over 30 half marathons, and many shorter races as well. However, we love the Miami Marathon the most not because it’s the easiest course or where we get our best timing, (it definitely is not) but because by the time we lace up our shoes and toe the starting line with Team Lifeline, we already feel like winners. This run is all about the children and families of Chai Lifeline, and making their lives a little brighter, while bringing an Aliyah to Mom’s neshama. Ever since Oct 7th it’s been a little harder to fundraise but we’re confident we can reach our 20k goal and then perhaps this year our two boys will join us on the course!
In the past seven years we have collectively raised almost $100,000 for the children of Chai Lifeline in her zechut. We were only able to do this because of all of you! And so we reach out to you, our partners in this holy work, once again. Every dollar donated truly means so much to us, and helps gladden the lives of so many children living with illness.
With gratitude and appreciation, Josh and Srivki Weisberg
