This January, we will be running the Miami Half Marathon in support of Chai Lifeline, an incredible organization that provides critical support to thousands of seriously ill children and their families, and in loving memory of Rebecca’s dear uncle, Amir ben Mordechai Sedaghat Z"L, and all those whose lives were taken from us far too soon.
We are approaching a year since we lost DaieAmir, and his absence is still deeply felt by everyone who was fortunate enough to know and love him. To know him was to love him. DaieAmir had a gift for making people laugh, and as an endodontist, he dedicated his career to relieving people’s pain. In both his professional and personal life, he was always finding ways to bring smiles to people’s faces. Whether he was cracking a joke, getting everyone on their feet and dancing, or simply being himself, he brought light into every room and left everyone around him feeling happier. He was the glue that held our family together, and his warmth, humor, and full-of-life personality made him truly one of a kind. Losing him shattered the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and this past year has been incredibly difficult.
We would like to honor DaieAmir’s memory by running with Team Adeena to support children and families facing some of life’s hardest challenges. This will be Rebecca’s third time running in support of Chai Lifeline and Yigal’s first. Through this effort, we hope to honor DaieAmir’s life and carry forward the love, laughter, and happiness he brought to so many people.
Every day, Chai Lifeline supports children battling serious illnesses and the families standing beside them. Through services such as case management, counseling, meal deliveries, financial assistance, and its medically supervised Simcha summer camps, the organization provides much-needed support, comfort, and moments of joy during incredibly difficult times.
Our goal is to raise $10,800 to help Chai Lifeline continue its work, and we need your help to make it happen.
Please consider donating to our campaign and giving generously in support of these courageous children and their families. Every contribution brings us one step closer to our goal and helps Chai Lifeline make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and support. We are grateful to be part of this effort and to honor DaieAmir in a way that reflects the light he brought into our lives.
