I was never a runner. I didn’t grow up doing 5Ks or dreaming of races. But after my third kid was born, I had this urge to get strong again — to feel good in my body and in my head. The gym felt unrealistic and I knew I wouldn't be consistent, so I started running (well, walking at first) on the boardwalk across from my house.
At first, I could barely do a mile. It wasn’t pretty. But I kept showing up. No big plan — just early mornings, consistency, and figuring it out as I went. Just a few months later, I was running 6+ miles at a time. I ended up signing up for the Miami Half Marathon with Team Lifeline (very last minute), and somehow…I did it. It was exhausting and amazing and honestly life-changing.
This year, I’m running again — not just for me, but for something way more important. Team Lifeline raises money to support kids and families going through serious illness. The kind of support that actually makes a difference. I’m proud to be part of it. Thanks for being here and supporting me!
