I've seen what Chai Lifeline does up close. I volunteered with them in high school and later worked as a counselor at Camp Simcha, their camp for kids with serious illnesses.
Camp Simcha gives kids who've been through a lot a few weeks of nonstop fun, and gives their families a chance to recharge. Chai Lifeline's year-round programs, and camp especially, bring an energy unlike anything else I’ve been a part of.
Now I'm running my first marathon in Miami this winter with Team Lifeline to give back. My goal is $5,400: $180 funds a counseling session for a family, $500 throws a birthday party for a child in the hospital, and $7,500 sends a child to Camp Simcha.
I'll be posting training updates here. Please help me get to the finish line. Every dollar counts.
