This January, I am planning on doing my 3rd half marathon with Team Lifeline. This is not just a race for me. This is very personal. At 2 years old, I was diagnosed with juvenile polycythemia vera. This means that my body creates too much blood, which can be very dangerous as it can lead to blood clots and other complications. Chai Lifeline came into my life when I was 6 years old, and they have been there since. I went to Camp Simcha Special for two years, and I am going back to camp as a staff member this summer. Chai Lifeline has given me the support I need when having a disease gets hard. I am doing this because I know first hand how much of a difference this makes. I am doing this because I will not let polycythemia vera control my life. I am doing this for all of the families who can't. Every single dollar helps so many families and I really truly appreciate every donation that is made towards this incredible organization. My goal this year is to raise $10,000. Thank you so much for helping me get closer to that goal and for helping this amazing cause. Emma
