Team Michelle

Energetic, Positive, Funny, Witty, Creative, Spunky, Artistic, Courageous, and Strong are a handful of words that truly describe who Michelle was. Many of us were privileged to get to know and learn from Michelle in Camp Simcha the past two summers.

The sparkle in her eyes, warmth in her smile, and innate charm made her beloved by all. Everyone in camp naturally gravitated towards her. Unfortunately Michelle lost her battle to cancer in early August. Just a couple weeks after camp. This is a tremendous loss to the Simcha/Chai Lifeline family and the larger Klal Yisroel as Michelle was a special girl who taught us so much.

This team was created in Michelle’s honor to help raise money for kids just like her to attend Camp Simcha. “I think Camp Simcha is a great place to make new friends, to do fun activities, and most importantly have fun.” This was a direct quote from Michelle. Camp was a happy place for her even in the hardest of times.

This January, we will be crossing that finish line with Michelle’s incredible energy and smile on our faces. Please help us reach our goal and give more kids like Michelle a summer of a lifetime. Every donation even the smallest amount will go the longest way and is 100% tax deductible. May her neshama have an aliyah.
